Certifications practices and policies
Law 59/2003, of 19 December, on electronic signature obliges those rendering Certification Services that issue recognized certificates to perform permanent tutorship and management of the electronic certificates they issue. The details of such management should be included in the so-called CPS or Certification Practice Statement, which specifies the conditions applicable to the application, issuing, use and extinction of the validity of electronic certificates. In addition to the general characteristics established in the CPS, each type of certificate issued by Signe is described in detail in a document called “CP” or “Certificate Policy”, which denotes the particular characteristics of the certificate.
A certificate policy exists for each type of certificate issued:
Signe provides for its clients its General Conditions of Contract, which govern the acquisition of any of our certificates. In addition, the Special Contract Conditions must be added which are set out in the contract signed between the client and Signe
