    APADIS, EARLY INTERVENTION

Since 1981, thanks to the initiative of a group of parents of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, APADIS was created to address the lack of public resources and support available at the time. These parents decided to join forces to improve the quality of life of their sons and daughters — and that is how APADIS was born. The Fundación Signe has collaborated with APADIS by providing equipment for multisensory rooms and funding educational materials within one of the center’s programs. This program focuses on specialized and continuous care for children and young people throughout the three stages of their schooling, offering specific stimulation to foster autonomy, social integration, and academic progress. The APADIS Center is a benchmark institution in northern Madrid, dedicated to providing individualized, outpatient care for people with special needs arising from developmental disorders or disabilities in early childhood.
